Link Meditation with your Sleep ritual
Is there a wrong time to meditate? There are some reasons many people discourage it at night time, that you have an increased likelihood of falling asleep, well; this is the whole point to be at peace when we need to sleep. My opinion however, if you wish to gain the most benefits from meditation then I would recommend just doing it! It’s what works for you. If you’re not mediating you need to discover this and more so now than ever; with the busy lives we all lead and with information in constant flow.
We need a proven strategy to overcome active minds and our ancestors have provided and tested this for us already. Such a gift and yet many are still discovering mediation only now. sleep meditation will deliver you to a place of calm and relax, it’ll quieten the mind and make it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night. The oldest documented evidence of the practice of meditation are wall arts in the Indian subcontinent from approximately 5,000 to 3,500 BCE, showing people seated in meditative postures with half-closed eyes. So its with good authority we can adapt this to benefit our health. Sleep requirements will vary from person to person, most healthy adults need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night to function at their best. Combine adequate hours of sleep and how to get the best quality of sleep with meditation and you’re equipped to handle all the challenges of modern day life.

Water Facts and Why
Adult humans are 60 percent water, and our blood is 90 percent water. There is no universally agreed quantity of water that must be consumed daily. Water is essential for the kidneys and other bodily functions. When dehydrated, the skin can become more vulnerable to skin disorders and wrinkling. Drinking water instead of popular sugar alternatives can also help with achieving weight loss.
We need to function properly, all the cells and organs of the body need water and these are some reasons and not exhaustive to consume more water and more regularly.
1. It lubricates the joints
2. It forms saliva and mucus
3. It delivers oxygen throughout the body
4. It boosts skin health and beauty
5. It cushions the brain, spinal cord, and other sensitive tissues
6. It regulates body temperature
Some scientists believe if there is too little water in the body, heat storage increases and the individual is less able to tolerate heat strain.
Having a lot of water in the body may reduce physical strain if heat stress occurs during exercise.
(Not Conclusive)
7. The digestive system depends on it
8. It flushes body waste
9. It helps maintain blood pressure
A lack of water can cause blood to become thicker, increasing blood pressure.
10. The airways need it
When dehydrated, airways are restricted by the body in an effort to minimise water loss. This can make asthma and allergies worse.
11. It makes minerals and nutrients accessible
12. It prevents kidney damage
13. It boosts performance during exercise
14. Weight loss.
Best advice would be to consume 1-2 litres of plain water daily to ensure fully hydrated and support all the body functions that keeps us well and vibrant. More water required daily when vigorously exercising.
Be outside and why it’s so good for us.
Outside has many benefits it can improve our cognitive function improve memory, help to limit depression, and lower blood pressure. Experiencing the outdoors, like walking, hiking outdoor running and exercise groups like Bootcamps assist in uplifting wellbeing and can lead to significant health benefits. With Mental illness at all time highs it’s so important to explore our outdoors, even the city or town walk will provide much needed head space and allow you to be at one with yourself. Most local authority and local business pages will be a good place to look for that outdoors experience. Vip are very proud of our Bootcamp and the benefits we’ve seen with all our valued members.
There’s Proof Going Outside Makes You Healthier! Yay!
Getting outside makes exercise easier and especially if you belong to a well run supportive group. This will also drive motivation and keep you going. It can spur weight loss. Nature increases brain function, giving us natural emotional highs. The outdoors may even help us age gracefully, this has to be a win and another reason to get outdoors and enjoy the enormous benefits, after all nature knows best.
We live in demanding times and nature is great for stress-reduction, resetting our equilibrium.
Some alarming news based on how we live today; the average adult spends between three to four hours a day on their phones. Brits and Americans, per household, watch almost eight hours of television a day. We must make our health our priority. Just brief period outdoors and exercising boosts well-being and health ten fold.
Take a walk after meal times, get yourself to a well run group where they promote all weather outdoor activity, I promise you its very liberating. We must embrace all weather; it will uplift your spirit and promote motivation to exercise. More exercise means a healthier fitter you and where better than sharing a great space with nature. My advice step outside, breath and find a fantastic group to belong to.
